CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities announced Thursday that a College of Charleston student who was reported missing over Halloween weekend has died by suicide.
As a result, the Charleston Police Department and assisting agencies have shifted to recovery efforts in the ongoing search for 19-year-old Owen Tillman Kenney.
Kenney was last seen during the early hours of Oct. 31 after attending a Halloween party with friends. During an investigation into his disappearance, the Charleston Police Department said he was recorded walking alone on the pedestrian walkway of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge shortly after 3 a.m.
Police officials said his cell phone’s last recorded location was on the bridge around the same time.
