MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Arena football is officially making its return to Memphis. The Arena League (TAL), led by Pro Football Hall of Famer Tim Brown, announced Thursday that the Bluff City will be home to one of its newest expansion teams, set to kick off in the summer of 2026.
The yet-to-be-named franchise will play its home games at the Memphis Sports & Events Center inside Liberty Park, marking the first time professional indoor football has been played in the area in nearly two decades. Memphis becomes one of two new teams joining the league next season, expanding TAL from six to eight clubs across the Midwest and South.
“We’re very proud to announce Memphis, Tennessee as one of The Arena League’s newest teams,” said Brown, who also serves as league commissioner.
