TYLER, Texas — Tyler's airport is not set to be affected by the FAA service cuts due to the ongoing government shutdown.

"At this time, there are no known impacts to Tyler Pounds Regional Airport," a statement from the City of Tyler said. "However, that is subject to change as the situation develops."

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will reduce air traffic at 40 airports across the country starting Friday. The FAA said the decision was made due to fatigue among air traffic controllers, who have been working without pay since the government shut down on Oct. 1.

Below is a list of the 40 airports that will be impacted starting Friday:

Anchorage International (ANC)

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL)

Boston Logan International (BOS)

Baltimore/Washington Internation
