TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Two families welcomed their bundles of joy late last month within minutes of each other at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital.
The twist? Both babies have the same name, sort of.
According to the hospital, Myles Retzer of Riverview was born at 12:43 p.m. on Oct. 27, weighing in at 6 pounds and 14 ounces.
Eleven minutes later, Miles Bartz of Plant City was born at 4 pounds 11 ounces.
“This was such a special and unique moment to be part of,” said Dr. Emily Richter, MD, obstetrician at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. “In all my years, I can’t recall witnessing two babies with the same name born so close together. Birth stories are always memorable, but this is one these families and our team won’t forget.”
