JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — The James City County Police Department will soon be the first law enforcement agency in the Commonwealth to deliver AED's with drones. It is joining their arsenal of sky high equipment, already in use for a vast array of emergency calls. Drones have changed the art of first response in James City County.

"Like to believe that it is one of my babies," said MPO Trey Jackson with James City County Police Department.

These "babies" soar to the skies, getting visuals of just about any emergency call.

"Get more information and shed light on what's going on so that way we can have the appropriate equipment responding with the first responders," Jackson said.

They have already been used for several incidents, like the climber who had to be rescued after scaling
