LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police says a suspect has been arrested in connection with a south Louisville homicide that left a 76-year-old man dead.

Richard Jenkins was found shot to death in the 7800 block of Manslick Road on Wednesday, Nov. 5.

According to LMPD, 50-year-old Justin Hayes was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 6, in connection with the shooting.

Hayes’ arrest citation says that he shot Jenkins multiple times during a domestic altercation with Jenkins. The suspect is also said to have contacted family members and “alluded to shooting” Jenkins.

The suspect is currently being held at LMDC.
