EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- Happy Thursday, Borderland! Much of the region will see above-average high temperatures through Saturday. After that, temperatures will drop as a cold front moves into the area, ushering in chilly winds and gusts.

Friday and Saturday will feature highs in the low 80s with sunny skies. Wind speeds will increase Saturday night to 10-20 mph, gusts around 30 mph.

Sunday will feature similar wind and gust speeds with a cooler high around the mid-60s. The overnight low will be in the upper 30s, low 40s, making for a cold Monday morning.

By the afternoon, temperatures will warm up to around the mid-60s with light winds from the southeast around 5-10 mph. The low will drop to the low 40s and feature clear skies.
