MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WISN) - The case of a Milwaukee County judge accused of assisting an undocumented immigrant evade federal immigration agents is moving closer to seating a jury.

The FBI arrested Judge Hannah Dugan on federal obstruction charges in April, after they alleged she helped an undocumented immigrant avoid ICE agents who were trying to arrest him after his appearance in Dugan’s courtroom.

With Dugan’s trial nearly a month away, legal teams met in Federal Court Thursday to discuss what actions to take if prosecutors and the defense cannot agree on which jurors to strike. In the legal process, striking refers to eliminating potential jurors from selection.
