LANSING, MI — Thousands gathered on the lawn outside the Michigan State Capitol Thursday, Nov. 6, advocating for “choice for life.”
The rally, hosted by Right to Life of Michigan and the national March for Life , centered around anti-abortion activism and alternatives to abortion. Several speakers took to the steps of the Capitol to voice their commitment to helping pregnant women and unborn children.
The march was planned to coincide with the upcoming anniversary of Proposal 3 , which passed on Nov. 8, 2022. The amendment guarantees “a fundamental right” to reproductive freedoms, like “prenatal care, childbirth, postpartum care, contraception, sterilization, abortion care, miscarriage management and infertility care,” according to the Michigan constitution.
