LOUISVILLE , Ky. (WKYT) - A restaurant less than a mile from UPS Worldport and Muhammad Ali Airport remains closed after a UPS plane crashed Tuesday night , leaving 43 employees without jobs and the property contaminated.

Stooges Bar and Grill was open when the plane went down, with employees and customers witnessing the crash and fleeing the building as flames towered over the restaurant.

“All I saw was a plane in the sky in flames. Before it could even hit the ground I took off running through the bar screaming that a plane was crashing outside and for everyone to get out,” said Kyla Kenady, a bartender who has worked at Stooges for almost a decade.

Video shows a wall of flames building over the restaurant in the moments after the crash as Kenady and others ran from the area.
