A man has pled guilty to murder, rape and other charges in connection with an attack in Wilmington last year that left a woman dead.

According to the Attorney General's Office, 27-year-old Kyle Batson faces decades behind bars when he is sentenced in January.

Myeshia Triplett was attacked in an alleyway near the 700-block of Catawba Avenue in Wilmington in September 2024. The victim was strangled.

Prosecutors also said Batson stole a motor vehicle and drove to Howard County Maryland, where he was involved in a crash and taken into custody.
