CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The ex-fiancé of Rep. Nancy Mace (R - S.C.) filed a civil lawsuit on Thursday against her, claiming she and others conspired to fabricate sexual assault allegations against him.

Patrick Bryant claims that a lawsuit accusing him and two other defendants - John Osborne and Eric Bowman – of raping an unidentified woman who had worked for Bryant at the time on Oct. 26, 2018, when the alleged assault happened, was fabricated by Mace and Bowman's estranged wife, Melissa Britton.

In the suit, Bryant claims that he is the only victim in the situation, and there is no actual video of the assault happening. Bryant further claims that Jane Doe filed her suit based on the fabricated accusations Mace told her, not based on her own knowledge.
