CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia AFL-CIO has re-elected President Josh Sword.
Sword was unanimously re-elected to a four-year team this week during the AFL-CIO’s 31st Constitutional Convention in Charleston.
Sword has served as president since 2017. He was re-elected to second term in 2022. Before being elected president, Sword served as secretary-treasurer from 2013-2017.
“I can’t describe how honored I am that West Virginia’s labor leaders continue to support my work as president of this great organization,” Sword said in a statement. “”Unions and their members are on the front line, serving their local communities in many capacities every day, and because of that, lives are better for all workers and their families.”
The AFL-CIO also re-elected Secretary-Treasurer Andy Walters
