PHILADELPHIA, Pennyslvania (WPVI) -- As part of the nonprofit "Schuylkill River Greenways," comes an initiative showcasing to students what kind of career opportunities exist.
It's known as "Schuylkill Environmental Career Opportunities," or "SECO."
The program is implemented in Philly Schools, this year the " U-School ," where students will take field trips to learn about potential jobs that help the environment.
"Over six weeks we go to different locations in the watershed to explore environmental careers, ...kind of expose them to different opportunities that they can have for internships, volunteer positions, all in the... green environmental career space," said Education Director at Schuylkill River Greenways, Ayashe Ramey.
