BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - The second annual vaccine clinic and service fair brought together community partners offering free services ranging from foot care and bike repairs to emergency supplies and health screenings.
Every service was provided free of charge to help those who might otherwise go without care.
“It kind of gets people that aren’t paying attention to health care at least more aware of it,” said physician James Randall Hansbrough. “Some of them just show up to see what’s going on, and some of them for the giveaways, but they get exposed to what things they should be doing.”
Services target the houseless community
The event provided hygiene kits, crank radios, warm socks, flu shots, and more. Each item seems to represent a larger goal of building trust and community car
