LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WSMV) - A recycling plant owner is focusing on supporting his employees and their families after a UPS plane crashed into his business, killing 13 people and leaving nine others missing.
Sean Garber’s Grade A Recycling became ground zero when a UPS plane caught fire and crashed into the industrial park. Three of his employees are among those missing, along with customers who were at the facility.
“Ground zero is our facility. The plane ended up resting there. That’s where the final resting place was,” Garber said.
Garber was away on business when the crash occurred. He watched the tragedy unfold through a FaceTime call with his chief financial officer.
