The Dallas Mavericks are in a bad place right now. Dallas has lost three straight games and now has a 2-6 record to start the season (entering Thursday). While the Mavericks have been missing Kyrie Irving (who won’t be returning until later in the season), they’ve also been without Anthony Davis for the last three games. Rookie sensation Cooper Flagg is doing everything he can to keep things afloat, but that’s a lot to ask of an 18-year-old.
Amazingly, the Mavs might be even worse than their record indicates. According to Forbes’ Evan Sidery , Dallas has the worst offensive rating in the NBA, and the worst rating since the 2020-21 Oklahoma City Thunder (who were tanking).
