FARGO — FBI agents blocked a south Fargo street near Jefferson Elementary School for nearly an hour midday Thursday, Nov. 6, to arrest a man for making threats against President Donald Trump, law enforcement and other federal officials.

At noon, Fifth Avenue South between 15th and 17th streets was closed and an armored vehicle was seen in the driveway of 1531 Fifth Ave. S. There, federal agents arrested 47-year-old Andrew Sandvik, who had been under investigation since early September for making concerning online posts regarding violence directed toward Trump and law enforcement, according to a new federal complaint filed Thursday afternoon.

A Fargo police detective first alerted the FBI about Sandvik’s posts on Sept. 4, said an affidavit filed by an FBI agent.
