NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - The Charleston County Legislative Delegation held an emergency meeting, discussing SNAP payments and the increasing need for meals.

Judge Jack McConnell of Rhode Island ordered the Trump Administration to make SNAP payments in full by Friday, November 7. News 2 reached out to SC Rep. Wendell Gilliard after the ruling was made, and he is glad some relief may be in sight.

"It's the right thing to do. He heard the voices of the people from this blue wave that came here throughout the country in the voting process that we had just the other day, and he's feeling the pressure. Because now it's about the people, we don't have time for foolishness and I think we need to stop it. We didn't have to come this far. We should not be in this position. Here we are 38-39
