The most recent FBI spinoff, CIA , faces another hurdle after its showrunner, Warren Leight, leaves the show. His exit forces CBS to pause filming for the time being as the network figures out a new production plan.
Leight is the second showrunner to quit the show. CIA was originally supposed to be helmed by David Hudgins, who left in July. According to an exclusive from Variety , an insider claimed that Michael Weiss, the executive producer of its flagship show, FBI, will be taking over for him. While production has been delayed during this transition, the series premiere is still expected to air on time.
