SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Sioux City leaders are lending a helping hand to renters who need some extra financial assistance.

The Iowa Finance Authority is giving $100,000 to go toward those who help our homeless population, especially those who are currently at risk of losing their homes in Woodbury County.

Eligible applicants may receive up to two months of back rent and one month of future rent, or one month of back rent and up to two months of future rent.

You can find applications at the Neighborhood Services Division Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Neighborhood Services Division is located at 521 Nebraska Street in Sioux City.
