BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- The Birmingham Public Library is hosting a reception on Friday, Nov. 7, to celebrate the exhibitions of two Alabama-based artists.

The reception will take place in the fourth-floor gallery of the BPL's Central Library location, where Montgomery-based artist Sarah Dismukes' "(dis)locate" exhibition is currently on view.

Dismukes' exhibit, which consists of paintings, cyanotypes, ink drawings and mixed media pieces depicting neglected manmade structures in natural landscapes, opened on Oct. 10 and will be on display until Dec. 19.
