PROSSER, Wash. – Law enforcement responded to the 800 block of Brown Street on Thursday after receiving reports of a disturbance involving a firearm that took place near Keene Riverview Elementary (KRV) School, the Prosser Police Department (PPD) reported.

The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. Once PPD officers arrived at the scene, they contacted all involved parties and learned that the disturbance had stemmed from a parking issue.

According to PPD officials, one involved party reportedly struck the other party’s vehicle with their car door, which led to a verbal confrontation. As the confrontation continued, one party went to their home and retrieved a firearm.
