India’s national song, 'Vande Mataram', completes 150 years today, Friday. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a year-long commemorative event at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi at 9:30 AM. He will also release a postage stamp and a coin.

The 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram' will be observed across the country from 7 November 2025 to 7 November 2026. According to a government statement, in addition to the main event, people at public places across India will participate in a collective singing of the 'Vande Mataram' song around 10 AM.
