A 26-year-old man from New Mexico was taken to St. Michael Medical Center and may be charged with negligent driving after a four-car crash along Highway 3 near Sunnyslope that slowed down traffic for over an hour Thursday morning.

According to a Washington State Patrol incident report, a 26-year-old man was driving north in a 2014 Chevy Malibu around the Sunnyslope intersection near Gorst around 7 a.m. He crossed the centerline to pass, striking two vehicles, a 2020 Subaru also heading north and a 2021 Toyota Highlander heading south in the far right lane.
