A person has died after being hit by a car in Meriden on Thursday night, police said.

Officers said they responded to a crash involving a pedestrian on North Broad Street.

The pedestrian died of their injuries. Police didn't immediately identify them.

The police department's accident investigation team is at the scene conducting an investigation.
