COLUMBIA — Columbia Public Schools announced students in the district are continuing their streak of academic improvement based on the district's rating in the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's Annual Performance Report .
The district earned 88.7% of the possible points, scoring 177.5 out of a maximum 200 points.
The score accounts for student academic performance from the 2024-2025 school year.
"We're growing and improving because our staff are growing and improving," CPS Superintendent Jeff Klein said.
The district earned 85.3% of the possible points for academic performance and 96.6% of the possible points for continuous improvement.
The total scores the school district earned places it in the top 15% of districts in Missouri, out of the 533 in the state. This
