LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — TSA workers at Harry Reid International Airport continue reporting to work without paychecks as the government shutdown enters its 37th day, with many struggling to cover basic expenses like rent and mortgages.

Keith White, a TSA representative in Las Vegas, said workers want the government reopened as they try to hold their families together through the uncertainty.

“Federal employees are always used as pawns. Every single time there’s a threat of a government shutdown,” White said. “And they almost feel like we’re being punished.”
