A technical issue in the Air Traffic Control (ATC) system at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) led to major disruption in flight operations on Friday morning, affecting both departures and arrivals.
According to airport officials, several flights, including those operated by SpiceJet, experienced delays as engineers and ATC authorities worked to resolve the problem. Initial reports suggest that a software issue in the ATC system caused the disruption.
The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) issued a passenger advisory acknowledging the problem and assuring that efforts were underway to restore normal operations.
