APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - As the government shutdown continues and FoodShare benefits remain uncertain, the Mary Beth Nienhaus Center is offering a temporary food share table for those still struggling to make ends meet.
That table is located near the main entrance at its facility in downtown Appleton.
Everyone is invited to give what they can and take what they need.
Non-perishable food items like canned goods, pasta, and rice are in high demand. All donations must be brought in during business hours.
With that table being opened to the entire community, not just members, community members say it’s an easy way to help local families put food on the table.
