NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk State women’s basketball team delivered a complete performance Thursday night, using a mix of scoring balance, defensive pressure, and hustle to rout the University of the District of Columbia, 85-39, at Echols Hall.

Da’Brya Clark and Jasha Clinton powered the Spartans with 23 points apiece, while Anjanae Richardson added 17. Carmen Kweti anchored the interior with 11 rebounds, and Clinton made her mark on defense with a career-high nine steals.

Norfolk State (1-1) shot 43.3 percent from the field (29-of-67) and converted 21-of-26 free throws (80.8 percent). The Spartans dominated the defensive end, forcing 38 turnovers while outrebounding UDC 37-30.
