MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) — For people who live near Dane County Regional Airport, noise from planes is a part of everyday life. Now, the airport is asking the community to help shape a plan that could offer relief.
The airport invited the community to discuss its amended draft Noise Compatibility Program (NCP). This program is part of the Part 150 Noise Study conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
"We want to hear from everybody. What we've seen so far is that it's really an education piece going both ways," said Michael Riechers.
Riechers, airport director of communications, emphasized that nothing was removed from the draft.
