The Toronto Blue Jays are in offseason mode, and some of their players from last year are starting to make decisions on their own futures. Pitcher Ryan Burr has elected free agency after the team outrighted him from the 40-man roster, according to his transaction log.
Burr was traded to the Blue Jays last season from the Philadelphia Phillies. He played in 34 games for the Blue Jays in 2024 but also spent time in the minor leagues. Last year, he played in just two games for the Blue Jays. He started the year on the injured list with shoulder inflammation. He made his debut in July, but was quickly shut down again.
