COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Midlands are in for some big changes in the weather pattern over the next several days, beginning with a warm and mostly dry weekend before much cooler air arrives early next week.
Tonight, skies will be mainly clear with temperatures dropping into the mid to upper 40s across the Midlands. High pressure will shift offshore tonight leading to a moisture increase for the area. This will create a few clouds on Friday.
Friday will another beautiful, but warm, day for the Midlands. Southwesterly flow will bring warmer air into the region. Dry weather will continue with highs climbing into the mid to upper 70s with mostly sunny skies. Friday night, temperatures will stay warmer than the overnight average with lows falling into the mid to upper 50s.
