BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Two years after the murder of 40-year-old Dominick Peterson, his family says the pain feels as raw as ever. And the silence surrounding the case, they say, only deepens their grief.
Birmingham Police continue to investigate Peterson’s death. He was found shot to death near Walnut Avenue on October 26, 2023. Since that day, family members say updates have been few and far between — and they still don’t know much more now than they did two years ago.
For his mother, Frankie Riggs, each year without answers brings both sorrow and determination. She continues to host a memorial every October to honor her son’s life — a tradition she says she’ll keep until justice is served.
