First responders continue to work in Randall County at two separate incidents — a large structure fire and a major crash — Thursday on FM 1541. The public is asked to avoid the area.
According to the Randall County Sheriff's Office, the fire occurred Nov. 6 at FM 1541 and FM 1151, just south of Amarillo.
The Randall County Fire Department is unsure of the cause at this time, but the incident will be investigated once the fire is fully contained. Fire personnel remain at the scene.
The sheriff's office also said in a Facebook post to avoid the area of FM 1541 and McCormick Road due to a major traffic accident, and the northbound and southbound lanes of FM 1541 were closed between FM 1151 and McCormick Road.
