Autumn may still be in the air but Butler County may get an early taste of winter this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Butler County will experience temperatures of 25 degrees on Sunday night, Nov. 9, along with a 70% chance of precipitation.

Snow showers are expected to continue on Monday, as the temperature will reach a high of 26 degrees, with a low of 22.

“We are looking at a system coming through that’s likely going to begin as rain on Sunday,” said Andrew Kienzle, meteorologist from the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh. “As we head into those late evening and overnight hours, we'll see a general changeover from rain to a rain/snow mix, and then all snow as we move into earlier portions of Monday.”
