On Wednesday, Nov. 5, five businesses and individuals were recognized for their contributions to making downtown Butler a special place.
As we learned in the Thursday edition of the Butler Eagle, Butler Downtown held its annual awards celebration at the Penn Theater on Wednesday.
Jen Hundertmark was recognized as volunteer of the year, Johnny’s Distillery as the small business of the year. Joe Gray and his numerous businesses received the economic impact award. Butler Downtown also gave special recognition to the Masonic Victory Lodge No. 272. And a new award for food truck of the year was given to High on the Hog, a Westmoreland County-based business that received the most votes during Butler Downtown’s Foodie Fridays events.
Creating a vibrant downtown isn’t the work of any one person
