DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) -- Two Northland middle school football teams demonstrate that winning isn’t necessarily about putting up the most points, but setting aside differences to come together for a big play.

For Paxton Oja, Braylon Carlson, Zach Babiracki and Abel Fox being a Wolverine is more than just wearing the jersey.

“Wolverines on three family on six, one two three Wolverines, four five six family,” chanted the players.

Friends turned family, these four Rock Ridge students simply love spending time with each other and love the game of football.

“If he has too much energy, he gets a little out of control, I just pat him on the back like Paxton you got to pay attention and it works,” said Babiracki.

Paxton is on the autism spectrum and has cognitive delays.
