MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Six candidates for Wisconsin governor participated in the first forum of the race, fielding questions on the economy and technology.
The Wisconsin Technology Council hosted five Democrats and one Republican on Thursday’s forum, including Lt Gov. Sarah Rodriguez, state Rep. Francesca Hong, state Sen. Kelda Roys, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley and former Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation head Missy Hughes.
Washington County Executive Josh Schoemann was the only Republican in attendance. U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany was absent because he was prepared to fly to Washington D.C. as government shutdown negotiations unfold, according to a spokesperson.
Candidates discussed topics ranging from artificial intelligence to data centers and the Trump administration
