CORALVILLE, IA. (Dakota News Now) -The Warriors of Sioux Center had a terrific season in Class 4-A volleyball. And it looked like they might come away with their first-ever state title Thursday when they won the first set against North Scott 25-23.
But the Lancers stormed back behind the amazing performance of McKenzie Moeller who had 32 kills to win the next 3 sets and the match 25-22, 25-21, 25-19.
Sioux Center finished the season with an impressive 30-5 record. Courteney Schmidt led in kills with 18 in the championship match and Adison Brantsen had 12.
