North Mesquite runs down Turner, clinches 1st playoff berth in 10 years

MESQUITE – It’s quite fitting for the North Mesquite football team that a moment like Thursday, one 10 years in the making, came on Senior Night.

A group of 15 student-athletes, many of whom committed four years to the Stallions’ program while enduring peaks and valleys, as well as schematic changes on both sides of the ball – all culminating in helping secure the team’s first playoff appearance in a decade.
