FRISCO--- Despite being in the final week of the regular season, there were a variety of scenarios that could play out following Thursday’s showdown between Lone Star and Reedy at The Star. A Lone Star win would give them the District 5-5A Division I championship outright, a Reedy win by 10 or less points would see the Rangers still finish first but slide the Lions into second and a 10+ point Lion win would be enough for them to raise the trophy.
After a 48-minute back-and-forth that saw both teams post impressive performances from both sides of the ball, Lone Star outlasted the Reedy push to take the victory, 28-26.
