Graves: Murray Head Start funds were secured before government shutdown

MURRAY – While many Head Start programs across the program have seen their funding dry up because of the federal government shutdown, the cycle for Murray’s program had luckily already begun before the shutdown. However, its director said she and her staff are still concerned about the other challenges the families they serve are facing from the shutdown.

Head Start is a federally funded program that serves primarily low-income children and families and provides early childhood education and health and nutritional services.
