Northwest Arkansas National Airport officials are “closely monitoring potential impacts” of the Federal Aviation Administration’s plan to reduce air traffic by 10% across 40 markets, including some to which the airport offers nonstop flights, according to airport spokeswoman Olivia Tyler.
Tyler said Thursday afternoon that nothing had been communicated from the airlines that use the airport, so airport officials didn't know which routes might be affected by the reduction set to begin Friday.
“While we haven’t seen any significant service disruptions at XNA, we are closely monitoring potential impacts,” Tyler said. “Our operations team stays in regular contact with airline partners and the FAA to stay informed.
