A devoted Rutherglen husband plans to take his wife's ashes on an epic 4500-mile journey to complete a dream trip they never got to make together.
George Talbot, who also hopes to raise money for the hospice where she spent her final days, will ride his motorbike from Sydney to Perth in blistering heat to honour wife Gaynor. The 56-year-old passed away from cancer on April 2 last year in Strathcarron Hospice, near Denny.
Her tragic passing came just four years after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The devoted couple spent Gaynor's final 22 days of life together in the hospice where she peacefully passed away with George at her side, reports Lanarkshire Live .
Their experience at Strathcarron has inspired George to share awareness of the work the charity does and raise funds
