OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - Marion County Sheriff’s deputies say a shooter is in custody after a deadly shooting Thursday night.

Investigators responded to a report of a reckless driver on Southwest 49th Avenue Road in Ocala around 6 p.m.

They say the driver and another individual got into a fight and that led to the shooting.

The driver was taken to the hospital where he later died. MCSO Major Crimes detectives are investigating the shooting, and the shooter was taken into custody.
