Reports reaching faceofmalawi.com indicate that Neno District Police Officer-In-Charge, Charles Kasalika, who previously served as the National Police Deputy Director of Criminal Investigations Department (CID, has been arrested.

According to an inside source, Kasalika was picked up by law enforcement officers in the early hours of Friday, around 3 a.m.

When contacted for comment, Deputy Police Publicist Alfred Chinthere confirmed awareness of the development but declined to provide further details, saying, “We will talk about that at an appropriate time.”

The reasons behind Kasalika’s arrest remain unclear, and authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
