That is how first-year coach Caleb Brink sees it, anyway. And he is not wrong. The latest evidence is the Eagles’ dramatic comeback in the final minutes of Friday’s 57-56 Class 2A Sectional 37 semifinal at Monrovia.
“It was incredible,” Brink said. “I’ve been calling it the ‘Monrovia Miracle.’ So many things had to go right and that’s a credit to our kids. They had to have a very, very high level of execution and belief the whole time. We talked at halftime about, ‘It’s not about who hits first. It’s about who hits last.’”
