The Greenville County Schools Hall of Fame recently inducted seven new members.

The 2025 inductee class features six graduates and one former educator from the school district. The men and women were selected as inductees for their contributions to academia, arts, athletics, business, media, public service, philanthropy, medicine, military and science.

A gala honoring the GCS Hall of Fame’s new inductees was held Nov. 6 at the Greenville Convention Center.

Lillian Brock Flemming

Flemming, a 1967 Sterling High graduate, became the first African American woman elected to the Greenville City Council in 1981. She has served on city council for the past 44 years.
